Who gets it: Retailers
What is it: An easy step-by-step process of mapping proposals to another manufacturer for the purpose of comparing prices amongst different manufacturers and providing your customer with a cheaper option.
How it works: While you’re in the step of adding the items, click on the version actions button to open a dropdown menu with a newly added “Price compare” option.
After selecting the “Price compare” option, you will be taken to the version creation step to select another manufacturer and style.
After this, when you choose the Manufacturer, give a new version a name, and click Next, choose a desired cabinet door style, and the system will try to map old items into the corresponding items from the newly selected manufacturer. Not all items can be mapped automatically, and for such cases, you will need to select the appropriate part from another manufacturer yourself by searching it either by part code or description. To proceed, make sure all items are mapped, and then click on the “Save & Continue” button.
If you wish to compare prices with one more manufacturer, simply select another manufacturer and style, let the system try to map old items into the corresponding items, or add them yourself if needed. Make sure all items are mapped and then click on the “Save & Continue” button.
Each time you go to the Price compare option, the app will add a new version, leaving you with a clear view of all the options.
Why it matters: Shopping for kitchen cabinets is one of the most important but also most expensive endeavors your customers will undertake. If cabinet retailers are able to easily and clearly compare prices between multiple cabinet manufacturers within the proposal they’ll send to the customer, this will make the shopping process much more easy, immeasurably simpler, and enable their customers to save money if they choose to.
Being able to map cabinet parts from different vendors and cross-map proposals, not only enables customers to find better deals on the same item or find similar items at lower prices, and allows retailers to provide their customers with amazing service, but takes the process of creating proposals to a whole nother level, making it easier and immeasurably more effective.
