Who gets it: Manufacturers
What is it: Cabinet manufacturers can now create orders on their own instead of only receiving the orders from retailers.
Why it matters: It may take some time until retailers start using and get familiar with the software. Meanwhile, the manufacturer should be able to keep track of orders sent by retailers via email or fax.
How it works: Similarly to how retailers create proposals, manufacturers can now go to the ‘Proposals’ page and click on the ‘Create proposal’ button to enter the 1st step of creating a proposal with Cabinet Pricing & Ordering app.
After selecting a dealer, dealer location and entering project description, click on ‘Next’ and you will navigate to step 2.
This is where the user can select the desired collection and provide a descriptive version name.
The next step is where items are added to the proposal. For a detailed guide on how this step works, please refer to the article on creating and ordering proposals for retailers. In short, select the items you wish from the search box below the table and whether they should be assembled or knockdown. Adjust quantities, apply any modifications if needed, and click on the ‘Accept and Order’ button to proceed to the next step.
In the last step, enter the PO number, the recipients of the order email (by default, this will be the email of your retailer), select a delivery option and if your retailer left any specific instructions, and enter them in the ‘Instructions’ field.
Review the order carefully and click on ‘Send’ to initiate the order by sending it to your retailer for acknowledgment.
